This gorgeous girl is Violet a 7-8 yr old female shih tzu  Weighing a mere 8lbs.  She has come along way since we got her from the shelter. In the shelter the workers could not work well with her. She was fearful and shut down, she would snap and bite, and alligator roll upon going for a walk. We took a chance on her, and in her new foster home she has mellowed out and is a happy girl in her foster home.  She seems to be house trained, great with the other dogs, and loves to be close to her human. Our best guess with this little girl was that she had a one human home with very little socialization.  She is nervous around new people and situations....as in not great for the vet or the groomer...but with patience and time she will comes around. We are going to only adopt to a specific home we are looking for, if you do not fit all of these items, please do not apply.  First no children or grandchildren. This dog has a bite history, though she has not bite the foster. A quite patient home who can follow instruction to make her trust you as her safety space. Someone who wants to give this poor baby the chance she needs to blossom and live her best life.  A waiver will be required, and a written agreement that this dog will not be returned to a shelter, given away and the new owner will seek help if needed.  She is a lovely little girl, the precautions are to make sure we find her a perfect home.
