IAN

Ian is a darling 11 month old, 7 pound Maltipoo, who had a challenging beginning and is recovering from injuries sustained at the hands of a very young child. He is sweet and affectionate once he knows you, but is wary of strangers. He is overcoming his fear of humans little by little, and we are hopeful, since he is young, but he will require a calm 'adult' only environment and some patient guidance and training.
His injuries resulted in minor neurological damage which manifests itself at times by bumping into things and having some difficulty tracking a moving object on his right side. However, Ian is extremely intelligent and is learning quickly to compensate. We are seeing much progress as he gains strength and confidence but he will always need a gentle hand as he is a fragile boy.
He is a quiet boy who gets along well with other dogs, and likes to play, ride in the car and go on walks. Ian is a special needs dog and will require a person with the time and desire to give him some special care and training to help him realize his full potential.
